The Allegheny Wine Mixer is a wine bar and tap room in the Lawrenceville community of Pittsburgh. They offer wine by the glass, as well as the bottle, as well as craft beer, cocktails, cheese plated, and cured meats. With local art lining the walls, you can bet that this is an establishment that's anchored in its community. They play all kinds of music here on their iPod, and that brings a diverse group of patrons here. The waitstaff here would be glad to help you pick a wine if you're unsure of which way to go, as they're extremely knowledgeable.

    3117 Brereton St
    Pittsburgh, PA 15219
    (412) 681-1658

Gooski's is a five bar in the Pittsburgh area, and everybody loves it here! That's because they're very welcoming and friendly to all who walk through the doors. There's a spacious interior, cheap drinks, and fast service here at Gooski's, and really, what more could you ask for when it comes to a dive bar in the Pittsburgh area? There's a backroom area that hosts more space, as well as pool tables and ping pong, so you can be sure that your entertainment will never be squandered here. The jukebox has an amazing selection, as well, so come on in and try it out.

The Smiling Moose

    1306 E Carson St
    Pittsburgh, PA 15203
    (412) 431-4668

The Smiling Moose should certainly be on your destination list if entertainment is on your mind, there's no doubt about that! They offer Rock Star Karaoke here, as well as a Variety Show, Trivia Night, Open Jam, and more! On Sunday you can enjoy $1 Pabst pints, on Monday there is a special of 1/2 off beers, and there are specials during every day during the week. This is also a music venue, so it's not uncommon to hear sounds of live entertainment coming from the fantastic upstairs bar. Their beer list is one of the largest we've seen, and you'll want to check it out!

Bar Marco

    2216 Penn Ave
    Pittsburgh, PA 15222
    (412) 471-1900

Bar Marco is a classy establishment that offers tapas, beer, wine and spirits! They have some serious quality eats here, with guest chefs who come in to collaborate with the talented resident cooks. This used to be an old firehouse, making the interior quite eccentric! Their brunch menu boasts Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, while their cocktail menu is...well...non-existent! That's because they want you to have a custom cocktail experience with their talented bartenders. Let them know what you like and dislike, and they'll whip up a custom concoction for you to enjoy.

Le Mardi Gras

    731 Copeland St
    Pittsburgh, PA 15232
    (412) 683-0912

Le Mardi Gras may be hundreds of miles away from New Orleans, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a fantastic dive bar and lounge for you to enjoy while you're in Pittsburgh! If you want a strong drink, that's exactly what you'll find here at Le Mardi Gras! They're one of the few bars that still allow smoking in the interior, which probably has a lot to do with its success! The booths are extremely comfortable and contemporary here, but you'll want to come early to get a hold of one, as they're very popular with the regular crowd!

    563 Greenfield Ave
    Pittsburgh, PA 15207
    (412) 586-5944

Hough's is a sports bar with an American menu, but what's really impressive here is the beer selection! The friendly staff will be glad to help you choose a beer if you're having trouble deciding over the many options, while the televisions along the walls offer entertainment for those who like to watch the big game with friends. They've recently changed their food menu, as they now offer high quality burgers and sandwiches. If you're looking to sample beers, ask your bartender about their special beer flight option, as it's a reason why they're so popular!
